We got a lot of calls for snake removal and prevention from Jenks residents. Polecat Creek, all of the bodies of water, along with tree cover and terrain, make Jenks "snake removal central" in Oklahoma. At least half of the snake removal calls were from homeowners who had a small fish pond or waterfall that was built next to their house and 1/4 mile away from a larger pond or creek.

Snakes are common around Jenks
due to tree cover and the many
bodies of water in the region.
An incredible number of snake calls caused by rodents such as mice and rats in the attic or house also came in from Jenks. We did an incredible amount of mouse-proofing and snake-proofing for residential and commercial properties in the area.
The second most common request were for skunk removal from under rental and commercial crawl spaces. Raccoons and bats in the attic tied as the third most popular service requests in Jenks. We received calls frequently because Jenks animal control traps could not or do not capture the animals.
Jenks has started to see a drastic increase in bat removal requests in the past several years as the bats move South from Brookside, Mid-town, and South Tulsa. Most Jenks homeowners who complained about bats were in newly constructed homes. Bat guano can be smelled in several parts of downtown due to long-term bat roosts in a few older commercial buildings. Most raccoon complaints were also from commercial properties.
