Perhaps because of the nearby agricultural properties which branch into Tuttle,
bird problems were a common complaint from the area. Pigeons roosting on
buildings and stadiums, as well as in attics; barn swallows and starlings are
also common avian intruders in the Tuttle area.
Lawn destroying animals such
as skunks, raccoons and armadillos are common animal control complaints
along with copperhead snakes and an occasional squirrel in the attic.
The wide open areas, such as fields for animals to scour for food,
the Canadian River, and all of the creeks and streams passing through
Tuttle certainly make it attractive to many species of wildlife.
Pigeons and other birds can
create quite a nuisance for homes,
restaurants and commercial buildings.
